Reactions are pouring in condemning the execution of Bahraini activists by the Manama regime.
UN Special Rapporteur on Extra-Judicial Executions, Agnes Callamard described the executions of as extrajudicial killings. He twitted that the three Bahraini dissenters were subjected to torture, deeming their trial unfair and based on flimsy evidence. Amnesty international condemned the executions.
The rights group said the executions are a deeply regressive step for a country whose authorities have repeatedly trumpeted commitment to human rights. Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman, Bahram Qassemi also slammed the killings and said the Arab Kingdom once again proved it’s not approaching a peaceful way out of the current crisis. Bahrain's main opposition bloc, al-Wefaq, also condemned the executions, saying the killings reflect the way the Bahraini government deals with citizens.
