Palestinian officials have condemned the United Nations for scrapping a report which criticized Israel’s acts against Palestinians.
The PLO official also called on the UN to undertake serious and concrete measures to hold Israel accountable for its persistent violations of international law and human rights. The Palestinian Authority foreign minister also condemned the UN’s deletion of the report. Riyad al-Maliki said pulling the report does not shelve the reality on the ground. The report published by the UN Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia accused Israel of apartheid over its treatment of Palestinians. The head of the body was compelled to resign as she rejected to withdraw the report.
