Kengen blames monkey for Tuesday's nationwide blackout | The Star, Kenya

Kengen has blamed a monkey for the Tuesday's nationwide blackout. In a statement, the power generating company said that the monkey fell on one of the transformers at the Gitaru Power Station thus tripping it. This caused other machines at the power station to trip.An overload resulting in a loss of more than 180MW from the plant triggered the national blackout.
