Some Minn. schools cut 7 ingredients from meals | SmartBrief

An initiative in Minnesota aims to have schools serve meals that are without seven unwanted ingredients. Under the program, schools serve foods that do not have artificial colors, sweeteners and preservatives; trans fats or hydrogenated oils; bleached flour; and meats without added hormones and antibiotics. The Life Time Fitness Foundation helps fund the program in 90 schools in four states.
