Telecom Minister Manoj Sinha on Friday hinted that spectrum which remained unsold in the just-concluded auction -- including premium 700 Mhz band, will not be put up for sale immediately at reduced prices.
India's telecoms spectrum auction ended on Thursday, raising the government 657.89 billion rupees ($9.86 billion), Telecoms Minister Manoj Sinha said.
"We have finalised the date of the auction and it will happen in the last week of September... 29 or 30th," Union Communications Minister Manoj Sinha said.
India said on Friday it will consider re-auctioning mobile phone spectrum that remained unsold in a sale this week when the financial situation of its telecoms companies improves.
