Why We Need Common Core: "I choose C." | TED-Ed

This video illustrates why we Common Core State Standards are essential in education.  The emphasis is on the need for students to learn, think critically, and apply concepts. It further demonstrates why "teaching to the test" won’t prepare students for college, global communication or real life situations.
